I have the same painful visceral reaction when I see a MAGA hat and hear Trump supporting rhetoric spouted. But we can't expect our peaceful protests for justice, equality and so on to be respected and allowed to stay peaceful when we don't give the same respect to the other side. It will never work. I was in the military and while I swore an oath to protect the Constitution, the Second Amendment was first and foremost what I was willing to give my life to protect. I believed that firmly as a 19 year old over 40 years ago and I believe it even more firmly now and remain as willing to stand and die for that right for my children and grandchildren and the country as I did way back then.

Now, if you want to get in that Red Hat's face and tell him all the ways he is wrong and shout him down and drown him out...well, that sounds like free speech to me.
