Being relatively white, I am not going to have this experience. But I have a wide variety of non-white members of my extended family. And of those, I can say that my three black nephews have experienced far too much of this type of shit. They grew up in a small town, and were top students and outstanding athletes. They never got into trouble in school or the community, and never got in trouble with the law. But they faced some unacceptable shit growing up.

My relatives who are Asian-American, Native American, and Hispanic faced some of the same ignorance and hatred. But not as often as my black nephews.
