Wouldn't the swabs be packaged in sterilized single-use plastic-lined paper pouches? TheBlackAdder Jun 2020 #5
It doesn't go into that level of detail. onecaliberal Jun 2020 #6

Either way. If dump hadn't gone there, they would need to throw anything away. onecaliberal Jun 2020 #8

Once they are made, they would be immediately sealed.

If he’s spewing virus it could potentially get on everything he was near there.

The virus would only last on the packaging for a few days before going inert.

The same would even be if they were contaminated before packaging, a neutral surface where COVID could not thrive.

I'm just saying that this seems to lean towards an insurance type of claim.

If they even had inventory to throw out, or if it was compromised in another way.

Trump gave that firm an excuse and can also claim site remediation costs on their insurance claim.

From the article linked in the OP: "Trump toured the production line wearing no mask or protective gear and even put a swab near his nose."

In that article, there is a Twitter post with a video of Dolt45 touring the production line. Not only would everything that was in production at the time be contaminated, the machinery would, too. They probably had to shut down everything to thoroughly disinfect everything after the moron left.

In this photo from the article, it looks as though the idiot is picking his teeth with a swab!
