Buffalo cops, firefighters cheer arrested cops!! Will they threaten strike if city doesn't give in?

Seems like many cops in US only want to work if they can do whatever they want

At what point might we se cops quitting en masse and few wishing to hire on.

At least it's becoming clear to more and more whites that there's a war going on!

That's what I said to my daughter when I heard about 75 resigned from the tactical/protest squad.

There are lots of good folks looking for work right now.

If you can't change the attitude, you change the people.

And hire them back one at a time when, and only when, they pass a series of psychological and social tests.

I've been a union member since I started working but the police union is abusive.
They aren't just protecting the rights of policemen they are protecting criminality.
These rogue cops need to go.

They also need to be accountable. I understand it’s a high stress job. I understand they deal with horrific situations everyday. I understand they saves lives. I am glad we have police. I appreciate the job they do. I’m understand they are human.

None of which excuses systemic racism, especially when it is clearly defined with statistics. If they quit, hire ones that can mange not to be dirtbags, and have the gonads to fight against wrong in their own ranks, not cheer it on.

Watching the prosecutor rationalize his decision to press charges was sad. He shouldn't have to explain it to anyone.

That cop acted criminally.

A lot of Chicago Police officers are close to six figures. They won't be going anywhere any time soon.

"he tripped." He was pushed but let's go with it.

How do they explain just letting him lay there with blood coming out of his head?

To me that's the shocking thing. To just let him lay there possibly dying with no concern.

They are supposed to keep advancing and any medical aid or arrests are done behind the "front line". That sadly was a normal part of that riot formation.

because losing one guy from "the front line" is not going to make a difference.

The front line is based on the number needed to keep the spacing. As they approach people they are supposed to hook them with the riot sticks and pull them through to the second line who conduct the arrests. It's a standard formation, what went wrong was shoving the old guy. It was also just stupid to use that tactic with so few people to potentially arrest. It made no sense.

Really, the obviously don't understand the problem, so they are likely to become the problem.
Camden, NJ did something like this when they dissolved and rebuilt their police force. Quite honestly I think many forces would need to do something like this. Totally rebuild, and demilitarize them. Remove the military ranks, the salutes, the formations, etc. And rewrite the procedures and retrain the entire population. And while they're at it, create civilian review boards.
