The story making the rounds now is ONLY 10% of the story.

It's a helluva lot worse than that.

I'm not sure what good my going to their site to watch one video does for their bottom line - I won't create a Twitter account or stay on the page. I suppose I'm in the minority but it does just strengthen my avoidance to Twitter.

Just tried with a Chrome browser. Embedded Twitter videos play just fine. Works with Brave, too. This is something Microsoft and Firefox are going to have to fix.

For me, it works in Microsoft Edge, but not Firefox.

It doesn't seem consistent, though. Some videos play, some don't. Thing is, I have to REALLY want to see the video for me to open it in Twitter. I'm just as likely to react "whatever" and not watch the video.

I suspected that it may have been a DU issue somehow, because I can open Tweet video outside, but I really didn't have time to pin it down. It is very frustrating, almost as frustrating as having an OP refer to a Tweet, only to look and see nothing at all.

20. I think GOP has recruited flawed candidates forever

I think every Republican has some skeletons. I think that's why someone recruited them to run initially. When they were recruited they thought it was because they spoke well or looked good or had a good business background. Then one day their arm was twisted behind their back on an important issue and they were told they would vote as expected on issue cuz of skeleton abc. They are then periodically reminded of skeleton abc or MORE to keep them in line. This is why the GOP as a party won't be in favor of LGBTQ, marijuana reform, etc. Because they use it as blackmail to keep members in line.

Republicans have come to the conclusion their re-election chances are nearing zero as long as Trump heads up the ticket. Yesterday Lindsey Graham was tasked with telling Trump it is time to resign and presented him with his options for an exit strategy. Trump responded by surrounding himself with soldiers, retreating to his bunker again, and leaking rumors about Lindsey Graham because Trump always shoots the messenger.

This type of loud whisper campaign is the sort of thing Trump excels at executing.

If Trump has just fired a warning shot at the Republicans through Lindsey Graham, I expect them to hit him back ten times harder. And then he will respond to them in kind. And we will witness mutually assured self destruction.

Just a theory......
