and decades of police brutalization of POCs and black people in particular, picking an African American woman VP is just about an imperative as it would boost Joe Biden's campaign and show the importance and recognition that diversity is the strength of the Democratic Party and the nation.
Such a choice would also reflect the striking, racial diversity of people participating in the national and global protests on-going for 12 days now.

She can probably spin her (often criticized) SF DA experience as inside knowledge of what needs to be changed in criminal justice system. Among black women, her credentials seem to be most impressive for VP role. AG and Senator of the largest state is already more than even what Obama had when he first ran for president. Perhaps, now is the perfect time to announce VP pick.
