Cartoonists: An idea for the dereliction of both Trump AND Republican party in this crisis.
Trump with his knee on the neck of Lady Liberty, with Mitch, Barr, and other Republican leadership standing around watching. (For that matter, there could be more than a few standing around pretending it's not happening.) For as surely as Chauvin's colleagues are as guilty as he for the murder of George Floyd, so is the Republican party as guilty of trampling rights and strangling democracy as is Trump.
Perhaps it's been done already, but I think this would sum up the role of Trump AND the role that Republicans play in aiding and abetting his constitutional lawlessness.
