The job messes with peoples minds, sanctions bad behavior by cops, and it begins while they're cadets in training.

the culture is really entrenched. something must change even if they all lose their jobs. obviously they haven't gotten the memo yet.

rubber bullets do real damage. so does getting clubbed, pushed over, run over with cars. tear gas isn't a tickle.

i don't even get your point. we should only be upset if they shoot AR15s at peaceful protesters?

If we are going to require protesters to abide by curfew, why not others? Like I said, not endorsing use of pepper balls in this case, but not the same as shooting people.

involves violation of curfew. that is not true. LE is behaving badly.

nobody ever said it was equivalent to shooting people. it doesn't make it right. Also in Louisville they did fire on people who were out after curfew. Not protesting or anything, just out. They killed a man.

National Guard soldiers march down a street, a quiet residential street. The people recording are on the balcony or deck of their home - they are not out in the street or even in their yard. One of the NG shouts "Light them up!" and the soldiers stop, turn, set and fire rubber bullets or pepper balls at the people on their own balcony of their own fucking house. But it's okay with you because curfew, and since protesters are subject to the curfew too, that means no one can go sit on their own porch? No. Just. No.

Used that phrase and shot at people (with anything at all) in their own homes just for being on their balcony? Seriously?
