ALL lives matter ........

All lives matter, its just that some lives matter more than others.

Black Lives Matter because somehow they got missed in the every life matters attitude.

I'm white and my life always mattered so much I never had to question it. If we are in a racist society the all live are mattering equally cant is unfulfilled promise, a mere sentimentality. And make no mistake: we are in a racist society.

We need to be reminded that black lives matter BECAUSE all lives matter.

Quit putting property rights in front of human rights. Rioting and looting is the expression of people with no voice who are the constant never ending line of victims with no relief in sight.

I don't like the rioting and looting one bit, but notice the national leadership is more about putting a lid on it as opposed to having a dialogue and allowing the oppressed to have a voice: and using the same oppressive "police" methods that got us to fire and brick bats to begin with. These are continuing because no-one in national authority thinks black voices matter. Because they don't have a clue or inclination to open a freaking conversation or admit that while mistakes - deadly, killing mistakes - were made, the system can and will be changed.

This is not about law and order, its about a significant portion of our population being victimized with no recourse but eventually and finally the brick bat and the flame.

And the President dithers on while more are dying.

3. "all lives matter" is a way of dismissing the distress call that "black lives matter" represents

"black lives matter" is plea for help and an emergency call announcing that black people are dying unjustly, particularly at the hands of the police.

the people who say "all lives matter" are declaring that they care more about a perceived offense in the phrasing of the emergency plea than in the actual life-of-death emergency being announced.

this is the moral equivalent of a 911 operator who takes a call from a panicky person who asks for an ambulance because their spouse has just been shot, and the 911 operator says, "you didn't say please" and hangs up on them.

Black lives matter BECAUSE all lives matter. And we say black lives matter because its past time to recognize it.

It tends to be a statement made by white privilege that really does not understand the movement at all. It is like they are hearing ONLY black lives matter, instead of understanding that because so many "whites" do not believe that black lives matter, is the point.

10. All lives DON'T matter UNLESS black lives matter.

I really liked the slogan Black Lives Matter the minute I heard it, and thought it was succinct, obvious and powerful. Pissed me off when a bunch of whiny racists turned it inside out. It felt like another organized and unfortunately successful disempowering of a movement.
I’m glad to see its resurgence on such a massive scale.
