The last GOP President (GWB), the last GOP nominee (Romny)

and perhaps the most respected Republican in the country (Powell), have all come out against supporting Trump. Yet the GOP remains in his thrall. A lock step cult.

How does he still have a 90% approval among Republicans?

What the fuck will it take to wake these people up?

Rhetorical, I think the modern GOP is beyond redemption.

Their numbers have declined over the past few years. The 90% figure is a manifestation of a smaller party these days that is closely aligned with Trump's base.

Over time the numbers fluctuate within a few percentage points. The good part is that even the "better" polling numbers are short of anything resembling victory.

Hatred they were posting support for the sacrifice of the elderly and immunocompromised, calling the virus a democratic hoax on the Nextdoor AP. It’s disheartening and terrifying. I’d get the hell out of here if I could but our circumstances don’t allow for us to go elsewhere. My level of anxiety is through the roof.

I truly hope some day soon the light will shine on the truth of that whole mess.

that's what they are protecting because they were all participants in some way either as investors or clients or both.
