All the Trump voters I have talked to rarely praise Trump, they do this instead.

They bring up the name Clinton, or Obama, or Biden. Trump voters have been brainwashed to believe Democrats are the most evil thing in the world. They know Trump is an incompetent asshole, it doesn't matter because they fear democrats more than anything else in the world. He fulfills, protects their biggest fear, their fellow Americans, the Democrats. Trump voters fear Democrats more than death itself.

That is the definition of a cult.

They might not like him, but they'll still vote for him, because in their minds, the alternative is worse.

The part you left out is, when they do the "But, Obama..." thing, they will follow it with something completely untrue.
That too, is cult like.

Our "freedom of speech" part of the constitution allows for "freedom to lie your ass off in front of the entire world".

And we call it Fox "news" and "Facebook" and "Twitter".

They only want power so they can get right wing judges.

We on the Left must have more discipline than they have and get our collective butts to the polls to vote in 2020.

If we vote en masse we will win. This is a battle for more than just the White House. It’s a battle for the Senate and courts. This is it, everyone. 2020 is a make or break, do or die year for the USA. If Trump wins again 2 generations of whatever progress we’ve made in civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, etc is GONE. Mark my words.

"Anybody but Bush" didn't work for us in 2004.
"Anybody but Obama" didn't work for them in 2012.

When you do a campaign like this, you're on the defensive.

Trump is ALREADY on the defensive because he's the incumbent.

This will just push him even further back.

This can give us leverage and ground to attack.

it sure isn't Trump's moronic behavior and incompetence they are in love with because that incompetence is affecting their lives too. But they would NEVER vote for a democrat after listening to Rush Limbaugh's baloney for 40 years. They would vote for a gorilla if the gorilla was a Republican.

- supreme court justices
- federal court justices
- dismantling of rules and regulations all across govt
- successful thumbed their noses to congressional oversight and subpoenas with NO repercussions to date
- trump governed by Executive Orders with no repercussions

not hard to understand why the great majority of GOP voters have NO issues with trump, he has brought more "GOP success" then just about any GOP president has done before

time to hold them all accountable

11. I watched the movie "Milk" about gay activist Harvey Milk. At one point in the movie
Sun Jun 7, 2020, 01:04 PM

his team was strategizing. They were discussing the fear of "others"; the unknown - the fear of gay people. This is what he said:

“Every gay person must come out. As difficult as it is, you must tell your immediate family. You must tell your relatives. You must tell your friends if indeed they are your friends. You must tell the people you work with. You must tell the people in the stores you shop in. Once they realize that we are indeed their children, that we are indeed everywhere, every myth, every lie, every innuendo will be destroyed once and all. And once you do, you will feel so much better”
― Harvey Milk

I often think about this. I had a coworker who was a Trumper by default (her entire family were rabid Trumpers). She and I shared many values, always fighting for the underdog. She knew who I was & supported, although I never really spoke about it. Anyway, long story short, she now dislikes Bunker Boy because of his treatment of people w/disabilities and people in need.

My friend was brainwashed, and conflicted. She finally realized that she was being lied to.
