Trump is merely the lethal pneumonia exposing the viral infection within a significant fraction of our citizens. No one's really sure what the treatment is, but we can't stop trying.

decades of right wing skull screwing opened the door for the master manipulator to take it all next level.

We are seeing countless communities across this country have citizens running around armed to the teeth because Anitifa is coming to ravage their towns - this after the same people were in fear of carvans of savage brown skinned people were going to strorm our southern border, and pretty much half the country on pins and needles over us being on the verge of a communist take over.

That people eagerly buy into this shit is relays that the stupid in this country is breaking us.

There has always been a certain segment of Americans willing to follow if it fits their misguided philosophy. It is nearly impossible to reason with them. Some are simply willfully ignorant. The most accurate statement I have seen in recent years: “You can’t cure stupid”.

When the one side promises to address your one issue to your full satisfaction, whatever it may be, you stick to them like glue.

Other issues which have come to light in recent events are irrelevant.

About Johnson and how he blackmailed and threatened senators into voting for the things we hold dearest now.

I have mixed feelings about it all.

But it does help me understand why republicans are still with Trump, no matter how awful he is, a lot of them vote about abortion or taxes.

But many Republicans are. Perhaps most? Some of the rest seem to weigh one or two issues disproportionally with the others.

I'm sure there are polls which support this, but my assertions are just based on observations.

bought the evenly divided, polarized claptrap that the Republicans cheated their way to in 2000. One reason to never put any descendant of those who engineered that crime into a position of authority again. Republicans ran with it and the left gave up until President Obama. We gained until the attempt to unravel us happened in 2016. Have we not yet learned that we stand together or give it away?

Only if they are affected directly can some of them change their minds but for the most part that 45% are what I call goners. Gone out of their sane minds.

Support any Republican president no matter how reprehensible, wrong, and unfit to hold office.

And then there are those who actually like Trump – they think he’s ‘witty,’ a ‘straight talker,’ ‘funny,’ ‘amusing,’ 'entertaining,’ he ‘tells it like it is,’ he’s ‘strong,’ and will stand up to the ‘liberal elite.’

Last, there are the bigots, racists, nativists, and others on the frightened, authoritarian reactionary right who perceive Trump as the ‘champion’ of white America and white culture.

As already correctly noted: this election is going to be very close.
