Are you fucking kidding me? "Biden faces new hurdle: Winning as front-runner"

Joe Biden is suddenly a clear favorite in the general election battle against President Trump given rising poll numbers nationally and in key swing states, meaning he must now figure out how to run as a front-runner.

It’s no easy task, especially against an opponent in Trump who is comfortable running as an underdog and who has the presidential bully pulpit and a healthy campaign war chest to throw at his opponent.

“If the election were held tomorrow, it would be a bloodbath. But there are about 150 tomorrows left,” said Philippe Reines, a longtime adviser to Hillary Clinton, who knows what it’s like to be on the losing side when you’re a favorite against Trump.

The quandary for Biden and Democrats is how to win while ahead and retain the momentum Biden has won over the last few months — momentum that has come more from Trump’s own problems and news events than actions by Biden.

I certainly thought HRC would beat Trump. Then spent the next year wondering if the Bernie bro’s has been right. But they weren’t.

Ask anybody who's ever played anything from football to Scrabble. It's always easier to play from ahead.

Hillary Clinton was reviled and hated before the campaign started. The hatred of the GOPee had saturated the minds of red necks and non-thinkers for years.

Joe begins this well liked and trusted. He is so much less a divisive candidate than Hillary.

The world is ready for Joe.

It’s time to believe and know Joe Biden will win. By a lot.

Sure, he may LOOK pathetic and incompetent, and his campaign may APPEAR to be coming apart at the seams as he collapses into the low 40s in battleground states, but what you have to understand is that Trump has 149 days left to PIVOT.

You see, Trump has the secret ability to become presidential at the drop of a hat. The beltway punditry knows this, and has been patiently waiting for him to make the pivot since 2015. He just hasn’t chosen to do it yet. But don’t worry, with just a few months left until America goes to the polls, the pivot is coming.

Never mind the fact that he’s been impeached, and is massively failing on coronavirus, the economy, and police reform. Never mind the fact that he just gassed his own people for a photo op. The pivot is coming!

There’s not long to go now, so expect that pivot any minute now. Suddenly, the disgusting piece of shit that a majority of America heartily despises will magically disappear and be replaced by a calm, compassionate, empathetic human being who emanates warmth and understanding with a twinkle in his eye.

Pivot-Trump will burst forth like a beautiful butterfly, captivating the hearts and minds of America, and within moments the 80% who think the country is spiraling out of control will heave a sigh of relief and say, “Finally! THERE’S the Donald Trump that I knew was lurking beneath that scabrous exterior all along! Let me rush to the polls and vote for him!”

Yes folks, THE PIVOT is coming!

Any...

minute.....

now.........

Exactly. Well done. The only surprise is that the "article" came from the Shill and not Politicoaf. Close enough, I guess.

They push this garbage, while, for instance, blatantly ignoring Putin's subversion of our elections and plans to use this next one to bring down our nation. This, while The Atlantic explains what they know of Russia's preparations so far.

Here's one little sample of The Hill's version, this headline is for an article that's really a vehicle for reminding people of accusations of Biden corruption in Ukraine and providing Republican quotes.
