(2,369 posts)Its really easy to say so go get a Twitter account, but dont you think that many of us know thats an option but dont for a reason, whether its political or just a hatred of the social media platform itself? You can also say go get an account on this newspaper or that, which has a paywall, but people dont want to - or cant - pay for subscriptions or dont want to support a certain media outlet.
In the end, it costs nothing to be considerate when sharing info rather than assuming that everyone could or should just get their own account on another site.

(110,251 posts)So that is the price you pay for choosing not to go on Twitter. Some things are only available there.

(2,369 posts)What is the point of posting? To get the word out.
Does it accomplish that to post a link - whether on a social media platform that is a viewing problem for people not on it, or an article behind a paywall? No.
So why should it be annoying or a hardship to be considerate AND effective in communicating an idea?

(110,251 posts)So I posted what I had so the people who WERE on Twitter could read it.
Your unwillingness to join Twitter shouldn't prevent others from viewing things there.

(12,712 posts)If we stay sharp while being flexible, we can confront these atrocities head on and adapt quickly and resolutely.
This struggle may bring out the best in us all and bolster our resiliency and determination to resist oppression and tyranny, like good citizens are supposed to. The time has come for all good people to come to the aid of their country.
We will withhold cooperation with this regime and loudly call out complicity while celebrating those who come forward and speak out honestly and with firm conviction. That's how we cut this cancerous growth in our democracy out and restore freedom and equality for this generation and those to come.

(2,883 posts)at the time of 9/11 should remember the way the protective fencing around the site became walls and walls of makeshift memorials.
But his moron can't think more than 2 inches in front of his face.
