George Floyd was not the 1st. Another man died in similar circumstances

This was standard practice.

[link:MINNEAPOLIS — Years before the nation heard George Floyd’s haunting words – ‘I can’t breathe’ – Minneapolis police officers were accused of improperly restraining another man.
They were accused of pinning him face down – with an officer’s knee on his back – for approximately four minutes.
“That’s exactly what happened in the Smith case – and David Smith died as a result,” said Jack Ryan, a 20-year veteran police officer in Rhode Island who served as an expert witness in a 2010 police misconduct case filed against the City of Minneapolis and two of its officers.|

all the wrong things. Don't forget, the killing of Mr. Floyd was a training exercise.

you can see them instantly put that knee on their necks when they get to the ground. Then someone else puts one on their back. One of the videos of women being taken down yesterday showed just that. Down then held to the ground with knees and weight and pressure. It IS punishment. Once they are down and their hands are cuffed there is no reason for this.

it would be comical to watch those big guys having all the control yelling that those they have grounded and straddled and are containing with no hope of getting away. I imagine they have been told to yell that hoping nobody will notice what is really happening.

It's about how not to panic or hesitate, and how to kill without remorse, literally.
