"Reopening" In Person Voting

If it is true that the worst of the Covid-19 is behind us and the country should re-open does that mean on November 3rd the majority of us will be going to our usual polling place to vote in person?

Just curious whether people think in person voting helps Biden's chances of winning? Heard milennials are less likely to vote by mail because they never use the post office.

I still hope every state gives people the option to vote by mail. Especially with the possibility we might get a second wave of Covid cases once winter starts.

It is my view that the worst of Covid-19 is yet to come. It is not true that it is "behind us" because the tiger has now moved up ahead with its mouth wide open and we will walk right in.

The propaganda seems to working if people imagine this pandemic to be over and the shock that not only is it not over, but ready to explode into something we have never seen in our lifetimes is going to probably make it worse. We should be preparing ourselves for the worst, hunkering down, and ignoring the alluring siren call of capitalism as it commands us to die for it.

My normal voting place is the chapel in Senior living / assisted living facility. There are actually 3 precincts that vote here. Even if there is in person voting, there is almost no chance it will be here.

Despite the rhetoric and grandstanding, there is little chance any state will completely do away absentee voting. Telling nurses, first responders, poll workers, soldiers and others they can no longer vote would be political suicide and won't likely hold up in the courts

And, voting by mail is said to be better for Democratic candidates, but I'm not too sure of that.

Do all you can to support voting by mail in your state because we may need it if the flu comes back.

Our Democratic Governor and Republican Secretary of State have actually been working well together to make sure everyone registered can vote by mail for our June 23rd primary. I mailed mine in a few weeks ago.

Fortunately our crazy Republican legislative supermajority isn't in session again until January. So we should have absentee voting in the general election too.

Most people don't have to go to the post office to mail a letter so I'm not sure why that should be a concern. My ballots always came with prepaid postage so you don't even need stamps. I assumed that was standard policy. In Indiana our outgoing mail is picked up from our mail box.
