Is excessive, wrongful, and counterproductive to address a protest of police brutality with more police brutality.

People have the right to peaceably assemble...but only until the cops decide arbitrarily that "you've had enough time to do so", then it's "go home" or the tear gas and rubber bullets start flying.

Several times over the recent days.
As if tidy and quaint protest would get anywhere. These brave protestors across the country are carrying the message loud and clear that its time for policing to change.
