Regarding voter stupidity and evil
It always seemed to me that stupidity precluded evil. And conversely, that which we call evil is driven by some sort of warped intelligence.
The likes of people like Caligula, Nero, Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, and so many others, can be considered as pure evil. But, for the most part, they weren't, for the most part, stupid.
Yet, here we are with Donald Trump. Evil and incredible stupidity residing side by side in one horrible being. A man who has destroyed, and continues to destroy, everything with which he comes in contact.
Many who voted for him in 2016 were clueless as to who and what he was. But here we are, almost four years into his reign of ignorance/incompetence/terror, yet there are still about a third of voters ready to vote for him again.
So my question at this point is: What the fuck is wrong with these people? Are they evil or stupid?
I've tried to differentiate between evil and stupid in this post. But, aside from the outright bigots/haters/Nazis among Trump voters, I can't grasp why anyone would want him in the Oval Office. My guess is that they are either unaware, ignorant, or some of the stupidest people on the face of the Earth.
If you have a different take on them, I'd like to hear it.
