BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) Video that appears to show a woman verbally attacking an 8-year-old and her mother during a Black Lives Matter protest in California Friday has gone viral on social media.
Baze recorded the video as she and her daughter headed home after the protest in Northwest Bakersfield Friday afternoon.
Baze, who is white, has been participating in BLM demonstrations without her daughter, who kept asking to go. On Friday, Baze agreed to take her for the first time
At one point, the woman said, I will f-ing kill you before her shirtless husband dragged her away.

Bakersfield be having some problems. Totally conservative city in a liberal state.

One of my grandpas got beat up by the cops in front of his family while he was protesting the internment of his Japanese neighbors during World War II, so I guess it's a family tradition.
My ancestors came to America to escape virulent nationalism and religious intolerance in Europe.

Specifically, criminal threats are threats of death or great bodily injury that are intended to, and actually do, place victims in reasonable and sustained fear for their safety or that of their family.
422 PC states that "any person who willfully threatens to commit a crime which will result in death or great bodily injury to another person, with the specific intent that the statement, made verbally, in writing, or by means of an electronic communication device, is to be taken as a threat, even if there is no intent of actually carrying it out, which, on its face and under the circumstances in which it is made, is so unequivocal, unconditional, immediate, and specific as to convey to the person threatened, a gravity of purpose and an immediate prospect of execution of the threat, and thereby causes that person reasonably to be in sustained fear for his or her own safety or for his or her immediate family's safety, shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed one year, or by imprisonment in the state prison."
