‘We are outraged’: Organizers, county commissioner react to vehicle incident at Cooper-Young protest

By WMCActionNews5.com Staff | June 8, 2020 at 2:32 PM CDT - Updated June 8 at 11:00 PM
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -

Organizers and attendees of a Black Lives Matter protest in Memphis’ Cooper-Young neighborhood say they are outraged by drivers who they say steered vehicles into the crowd last Friday.

Witnesses say two vehicles drove into the crowd in separate incidents about an hour apart.

Anthony Marcuzzo, 18, stayed at the scene while police investigated but wasn’t arrested until the next day. He is charged with five misdemeanors for reckless endangerment and reckless driving. He was released from jail on his own recognizance.

Beau Albauer, 26, was initially issued a citation for disregarding a red light, but now he is wanted on a warrant for felony reckless endangerment and misdemeanor reckless driving.

Much more at link. I had originally posted about this & was told these were felony charges, which was apparently incorrect. Another case of a "troubled" young man? 🤬
