In the simplest terms, the sitting US president has deliberately amplified Russian disinformation - and not for the first time.

Fun fact: The @OANN reporter with the Russian accent who did this wildly misleading story filled with unsubstantiated claims that Trump has now referenced on Twitter moonlights for Russia's state-run propaganda and disinfo-peddling network @SputnikInt.

(2,227 posts)(Starting with those in Congress and the Senate, the FOX instigators, then the rubes who reveled in every conspiracy...) OANN and RT would just be returning home. For good. Let Pootie sort them out.
And when I say offered, I mean either take the ticket, or go to jail for treason.
Put them on the plane, and let Putin decide whether they can land or not. But they CAN'T come back here.
We need to do some MAJOR housecleaning...

But a one-way ticket to Hell, I mean, Russia, would be cheaper and probably result in some abuse on their part.
I'd like to see them behind bars though for their crimes. ABSOLUTELY!

GOP senators ducking on Trumps deranged tweet about elderly Buffalo man, to my colleague @mkraju:
Rubio: I didn't see it. you're telling me about it. I don't read Twitter. I only write on it."
Cornyn: You know, a lot of this stuff just goes over my head."

(7,875 posts)He's been trumpeting, speaking, and tweeting Russian propaganda since 2013 at least. This is specific, yes. But it is not new behavior for Trump.
His staff, advisors, and cabinet members have been doing the same thing all along. Many of his policies and reactions to situations are straight out of the Putin handbook on how to subvert and overturn Ukraine.

(81,188 posts)Not at all. I think OANN should be disbanded. Or at the very least, it should be renamed. OAPN - One America Propaganda Network. Or maybe even better, the One Agenda Network. That way they can keep their OAN initials. Theyre not doing factual objective broadcasting. Theyre doing agenda-driven broadcasting. Theyre pushing a very clear bias. With ulterior motives - of sheer flagrant public attitude manipulation.
