For the record: Florida's 22nd Congressional district is currently represented by Rep. Ted Deutch, a Democrat who's done an excellent job during his time in office. The district is in heavily blue Broward and Palm Beach Counties, meaning that Melton or whoever wins the Republican nod will likely loose handily to Deutch in the general election.

It's still not as bad as the neighboring 21st District, where incumbent Lois Frankel may end up facing ex-Twitter personality--and female version of Jacob Wohl--Laura Loomer in her race.

But as for Melton. You would think someone who was running in a district that was the site of one of the most infamous and prolific mass school shootings in US history would have better sense than to use a picture of herself posing with a gun and talking about how she wants to "fire" Rep. Deutch...

2. I was at a BLM protest in Boca Raton on Saturday

The clergyman from the organizing group spontaneously called someone out of the crowd to speak. He clearly wasn't on the docket but stepped up to say a few words.

It was Ted Deutch. He wasn't there to grandstand or make a speech. He was just blending into the crowd to lend his support.

He's a good dude and I would crawl through a field of glass to vote for him rather than this gun loving freak

3. Deutch is a true Mensch.

Following the MSDHS shooting, Infowars sent Laura Loomer to disrupt one of his town halls to spread crazy conspiracy theories and he went after her with righteous fury. It was a thing of beauty.

If so, Deutch should win in a walkover.
