The Cross-Fit Guy, Cop with the knee on Floyd, & the cop who knocked over the 75 year old man....

...all had something in common...

...The three did not know that what they did , would in the space of 72 hours, have national coverage..(if not world wide coverage) They were also sure that ..."they would get away with it" (not worry about consequences)
All had something else in common.......

...Somehow, they assumed that this would be kept kind of private. (somewhat??) and it would not have that kind of publicity. And they would ..."get away with it.." You see, times have changed from 25 years ago. You needed a camera to prove this or that, and carrying one was difficult and some were heavy. Film, storage of camera, making sure the camera is ready to take the pictures, etc....etc...etc...The Cross-Fit Guy's conversation was recorded and not erased.

Now...everyone has one...the new cameras are called..."Cell Phones"They record and take pictures too...And I might add, it ain't rocket science to operate one. Is it?..Therefore, when an event happens, usually there is someone to .."photograph it", or record it.. And the cell phone cameras are ready to go..point and shoot..& you have a picture or video or record of the conversation..

In a protest a few days ago, (or was it last week) a cop knocked over a 75 year old man, Martin Guginon, who was standing there. The cop knocked him down, and the 75 year old, fell on his head. The cop is under..."investigation" and has been suspended. There are a number of different views of the "knock down" and the cop will not get away with it. And it is clear which cop knocked the 75 year old man down..Other cops did not stop to help as blood came out of his head. That is clear too. (He is still in the hospital, but getting better)

...In the past, there were not pictures to confirm..unless a photographer was there with a camera. Now there are tens of millions of cameras and photographers. (maybe more) Each is able to break a story and get their pictures published everywhere all over the world....As Bob Dylan said, "The Times They are A Changing"

HD in the palm of one's hand was a science fiction concept 30 years ago.
How these drones don't get that is baffling. I know, I know; stupid. But, this seems beyond stupid!

Clear enough to stand up as evidence in a court of law.. And not just clear enough..Quite clear and details are easily seen and shown to all.

...You are correct..."a science fiction concept of 30 years ago"...There was such a hand held phone in a TV show called ..."Star Trek" (original) ..in mid 60s...I watched it and wondered..?? Well now we all have them..
No the ship cannot ..."beam us up" yet, ... but the phones are around for all to see and use.."

...Yes, I got one too....Yes, "Beam Me Up Scotty" or something like that...Strange World??

...4 times the size of today's phones.
The last season they changed to the movie version that looked like a flip phone!
ST:TNG had the communicator built into the starfleet insignia. Except that was 24th century and we have Life Alert now!
I'm still amazed at the photo quality of my phone, and I have what would be a mid line Android, at best. Nothing super fancy.
I've got shots of a rainbow from a few weeks back that are super cool!

During a lengthy discussion on the coronavirus, Glassman again shared more unfounded theories. “The Chinese let this virus get out of the laboratory, and that indeed did happen,” he said. (US intelligence officials have said they have not formally concluded whether the virus emerged from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.)

Glassman also trashed epidemiology as “a social science,” said upstate New Yorkers should secede from the rest of their state due to the strict lockdown measures in New York City, and urged gym owners to only pretend to comply with health precautions when they reopen.

“It was a panic. Absolute panic right from the start. And I think it's inevitable that it's going to turn out that this has cost way more lives than have been saved. Way more,” he said. “At some point, you've got to do what's right, and it may not come with approval. It may not be seen as the right thing to do, but you still have to do it. It's the burden.”
