Rodney King riots. After...ahhh never mind, just hoping it really happens, I’m 68 and want to see it before I die!

Legislation is going to make police unions transparent in every Blue state. And the Red States will have to follow. I am seeing greater and faster change than I saw in the 70s/80s. I thank Bill Clinton and Al Gore for making social media possible. Lotsa bullshit on the internet, but when people come together to drive the change, technology and social media are leading the way. People are capturing the reality on every police-state transgression and the fascists can't spin the totality of events quick enough.

Wait another 4 months and enjoy the change!

I think having our noses rubbed in our very own sh*t has been a wake-up call for many.

It seems different.

I’m thinking the cameras make the difference. They did when Bull Conners did his thing.

Selma was a sea-change, but it only captured a small sliver of the total brutality. Lots more video is changing people's minds in real time.

I served 12 years under Republican Presidents. Those boys like white man rule. Wonder what will happen when there is a Democratic President and the Marine Corps supports conservatives? Never quite understood how that works. After all they are the Presidents own. They do not want a welfare state in the US, but forget that it is of the people, for the people, by the people, . I know the young adults are just choosing the lesser evil.

Wecome to DU!

Seems like we had a Democratic President recently who could make 3 pointers in front of our troops. I think they really like him and trusted his judgement. Did you see something different?

The Officers of the Marine Corps at that time were white males as the majority.
