I know Roger Stone was a Nixon fanatic, was he also a Wallace fanatic.

I have always believed Roger Stone is Trumps brain. Trump has done exactly what Nixon did, except for resignation. Trump is too stupid to do what he has done. He is listening to somebody.

Trump is also doing what Wallace did. He is talking like Wallace. Just saying.

Roger Stone isn't Trump's brain; if there is one at all it's Stephen Miller. The Velveteen Ocelot Jun 2020 #2

That wasn't the question, though. You asked whether Stone was a follower of Wallace. The Velveteen Ocelot Jun 2020 #4

Never would have thought a republican president would do that. Lots of firsts for this president. 140 days or so to go.

Trump has far exceeded Nixon, and he's definitely in Wallace territory. In any event I don't think Stone was ever a fan of Wallace because Nixon and Wallace were adversaries. In the 1968 election, Nixon tried to walk a line between Humphrey and Wallace; although he was a racist (mostly in private) he was not a segregationist. Wallace's rhetoric at that time sounds very much like Trump's, but Stone was Nixon's man and never Wallace's.

I know Stone has pushed Trump to run for president for decades.

And I opined that he wasn't because he was a hard-core Nixon guy (he even has a tattoo of Nixon on his back). Stone was among people who encouraged Fat Nixon to run, but once he did run he went full Wallace on his own, or more with the help of Miller.
