Do you think Tulsa should give Trump a tour and treats at the Bama Pie company?

It's long been a fixture in Tulsa. The company's now world-wide factories make the apple pies for McDonalds

I remember the factory on 11th street (route 66) in the 50s. In those days you could buy regular pie-sized Bama pies in grocery stores, IIRC

And people visited me for the first time, I would take them to Oral Roberts University. His prayer tower had a six-rooms-in-a-circle tour of his life that was always good for a laugh.

circular entrance on Lewis? Move cost 1 million $ plus IIRC

Some people connected with the school have fondly joked that they thought the prayer tower was a space ship when they first saw it

So they were always there. I don't know how things are now that Richard Roberts was booted from being president, but they did not take care of either place when I lived there. There was a small sinkhole behind the prayer tower that was roped off for more than a year. The tour was kept in relatively good shape, but if you went up to the observation area, they had all these info kiosks around the wall under the windows that had info about what you were looking at (Looking West you see the Walmart Supercenter... - not really, but you get the idea) that had buttons you could press to hear recordings. Well, the recordings rarely worked, and the info printed directly onto the Kiosks were so washed out from the sun they were illegible.

I can see how it would look like a space ship to some people. The whole university is a monument to the worst architectural design ideas to come out of the late 60s/early 70s. My favorite building is the Legion of Doom building from the Superfriends cartoon.

On Edit: When I typed in Legion of Doom Building into Google for the second picture, along with images from the Superfriends cartoons, there were images of other buildings from around the world that people apparently think look like it. The ORU building was one of them so it's not just me.
