Group of West Point graduates warn that alumni in Trump administration 'betray public faith'

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/06/11/politics/west-point-graduates-message/index.html
<snip>
Days before President Donald Trump is due to speak to graduates at the United States Military Academy, a group of graduates have issued their own message to the class of 2020 outlining concerns that "fellow graduates serving in senior-level, public positions" are undermining the credibility of an apolitical military and betraying their "commitment to Duty, Honor, Country."

Pointing to "weak" and "self-serving leaders who emphasize loyalty over duty," the group wrote that leaders who focus on pleasing their commanders and advancing their own careers "is not just a problem, it's a disgrace."
West Point graduates occupy prominent roles in the Trump administration, including Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his two closest aides at the agency, Brian Bulatao and Ulrich Brechbuhl.

Top general apologizes for appearing in photo-op with Trump after forceful removal of protesters
"When fellow graduates fail to respect the checks and balances of government, promote individual power above country, or prize loyalty to individuals over the ideals expressed in the Constitution, it is a travesty to their oath of office," the post said.

if there is ANY kind of protest. While I REALLY would not expect to see one (see: duty - honor - service) - it would truly be a sign that BunkerBoy would be there in his bunker for his "inspection" ALL ALONE!

And I might also add: I have TREMENDOUS respect for those graduates of our military academies - and have been TERRIBLY disappointed in those who have signed on to serve under BunkerBoy - based on the very points that have been raised by this group of most-honorable Americans who have proudly served in our military for our country.

The military will try a coup to stop it, but it won’t work.

Imagine what it will be like on election night on the West Coast and in NY and New England if he steals it again.

It was West Pointers who started the group "Service Academy Graduates Against the War" that started up in the wake of the Iraq invasion.

As much as it pains me to say this,

Go Army!
