President Trump said Thursday that his administration is working on an executive order that will encourage police to meet "professional standards" for the use of force in the line of duty. Trump said the order would encourage police to use force with compassion.
I said we have to dominate the streets, he continued. And I was criticized for that statement
He also defended his call for law enforcement to "dominate the streets" in order to quell protests ... If youre going to have to really do a job, if somebodys really bad, youre going to have to do it with real strength, real power, Trump said.
Trump used his remarks to express broad support for law enforcement. He said it was important to have law and order in America ...Trump said there would always be bad apples in police forces but described them as rare.
Trump was widely criticized last week when he threatened to dispatch active-duty forces to cities to quell protests, and his administration was met with blowback when law enforcement forcibly cleared protesters in Washington, D.C., near the White House just minutes before Trump staged a photo-op at St. Johns Church.

(12,712 posts)Would you like some compassion with your force?
"As I beat you down to the ground with a baton and then kick and slap you after tasering and spraying your face with pepper spray, I wish for you happiness and loving kindness, compassion, freedom from all suffering and safety from inner and outer harm. Now stop resisting arrest...oh, I am so sorry, but now I have to kneel, lovingly on your neck. May you experience true inner joy and equipoise as I bear down on you now with full compassion."

Cops can then have pillow fights instead of gun fights on the streets of the USA.
