They're going to miss him when he's gone. NAH! They'll find something else to latch on to, but they've been given a true gift with Little Donnie. The country sure isn't going to miss Trump, though, that's for sure.

and I do mean everything Trump says or does. I think you're correct, JHB. These cartoonists could use a little R&R after Trump's exit next January 20th.

You keep posting them, and we'll keep reading them. JHB's "cartoon corner" is something I look forward to every day. Thanks for all your work.

Aside from the groupings with the quippy headings, I'll shuffle them around where I think they flow into each other better, like having the crying Nascar klansmen together instead of having 2 or 3 others between them.

I also try to lead off with a DU Homepage-friendly one and end on a chuckle or hopeful or poignant note instead of MORE HOWLER MONKEY!!

The cartoonists are doing all the hard parts, but I gotta exercise my creative and style sensibilities somewhere.

Friday TOONs: Back in Business Edition
DU's Toon posts have been a staple since the late, great nostamj started them back in the olden days of DU1. When he died unexpectedly in 2005, I picked them up for a while, and others have stepped up to volunteer since then. Yesterday the long-running latest abruptly de-volunteered, so I jumped back in the pool. It might take a while to get them fully back up to speed, with multiple posts daily, but they ain't goin' nowhere.
Enjoy!

This cartoon could mean two different things.

Pointing out how many overreact to that slogan without knowing what it means..which is what I suspect the artist was going for

or

How the slogan itself is yet another example of the good guys using a presumptive, and obfuscated line. Giving too much cognitive credit to anyone not in the fold.

And how that failure to communicate, is used by those in the RW media (who know full well what it means) to define it any way they want. Even BLM is not perfect. But I understand how difficult it would be to summarize hundreds of years of systematic repression in a few words. Still, one side sees that as Black Lives Matter..... Too. But because of how truncated it is, the other side can be indoctrinated to react with: Hey, don't All Lives Matter?

anyone against police brutality.

Almost everyone I've talked to aren't interesting in "defunding" or abolishing the police. We all seem to be interesting in reforming those departments who have constantly had problems dealing with minorities or others not of the right class.
