Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsJust heard Mika say Trump is "out of step" with the American people.
That's like saying Pol Pot was a "harsh" ruler.
Or, that Adolph Hitler was "somewhat anti-semitic".
Or, that Bull Connor dealt "aggressively" with protesters.
Understating evil serves no good purpose. Call it by name---LOUDLY!

(15,124 posts)anti-semitic and Connor was aggressive. But, those adjectives certainly don't fully describe those people or convey the monstrosity of their actions.

(6,280 posts)What she said was "So Joe, you mentioned the article about Trump being severely out of step with the country"
She was talking about an article that someone else wrote, and was not an original statement from her. Even the article she was quoting used the phrase, " severely out of step".
And of course without even seeing it, or at least thinking about hearing what she said, the bandwagon jumps in and delivers the pats on the back being fished for.

(15,124 posts)have the exact words of the first, but it struck me as a statement of fact, not a reference to someone else's opinion.
Do we have to wait for someone to say Trump is "merely" out of step before we recognize the minimizing and normalizing?
This was not an earth-shattering dud of a comment and Mika is hardly ghe worst offender, but I thought it was worthy of comment. Sorry that you consider it bullshit.

It was a reference to someone else's quote which I clearly pointed out to you. Deny it all you care to. It's a statement of fact.
You are falsely attributing that quote directly to Mika Brzezinski, and add to the fact that you didn't even get the quote she was referring to correct, hence, the bullshit.
She did not minimize or normalize anything. Everything she said was the truth.
I stand firmly behind my original post.

(20,629 posts)claiming that he was writing editorials slamming Trump for claiming he didn't know who David Duke was, back in the 2016 campaign. They were doing everything in their power to pump up his candidacy, and helped celebrate his "win" at Mar-A-Lardo for the 2017 New Year's Eve bash!

Joe Scarborough on Donald Trump's 'disqualifying' moment
By Dylan Byers February 29, 2016: 1:42 PM ET
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, who has been criticized for being too favorable toward Donald Trump, said Monday that the GOP frontrunner's failure to disavow the support of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke disqualified him from being president.
On Monday, the "Morning Joe" co-host lit into Trump for failing to condemn the Klan and Duke, the former KKK "grand wizard" who has effectively endorsed Trump. In an interview with CNN's "State Of The Union" on Sunday, Trump said he "didn't know anything about David Duke."

If there's one thing I know about Scarborough haters, it's that they don't try too hard to learn the facts.

(15,124 posts)trashing DUers.
Here, the poster did NOT say that Scarborough did not write that article when he said he did. But, as they pointed out, this one op-ed hardly balances all of the free air time and favorable treatment they provided to then-candidate Trump. Read the comment just after your selected quote and you'll see that.
Hope your day gets better.

(6,280 posts)On the other hand, being called out for your deception seems to be weighing on you, and the LIE is continuing by falsely stating that I am trashing other DUers. The only thing that could possibly be misconstrued as trashing is my statement on failing to get the facts when it comes to Joe Scarborough, but, that's a fact. Just curious, did all of you get together and decide you were going to be the spokesman to reply to every post I make on this thread, or do you lack the confidence in your fellow DUers to speak for themselves? Maybe I'll start a thread of my own. Something like........
"Guess what Atticus wrote." And follow the title with....
He wrote Pol Pot was a "harsh" ruler.
Also that Adolph Hitler was "somewhat anti-semitic".
Plus he wrote that Bull Connor dealt "aggressively" with protesters.
Gee, you would think he would be a little harder on these tyrants.
Forget that my OP is written completely out of context. It's true. You did write that.
Now, suppose you have not seen that OP. Would you hope that someone who saw your original post would step up in your defense, and set the record straight? You know, call bullshit.
Now for the other claim in your post since the person I replied to can't or won't.
." Joey Scar has been pulling his revisionist history bullshit again. He was
claiming that he was writing editorials slamming Trump for claiming he didn't know who David Duke was, back in the 2016 campaign. "
What do you think the poster meant by " pulling his revisionist history bulshit again" ???
How the hell can it be revisionist history if it actually happened? Damn man, I think you might be taking on a little too much so I'll just back off let you catch your breath. Hope you have a better day too.
