“Despite massive problems at the voting booth, Democratic turnout in Georgia’s primaries skyrocketed — with three times as many votes cast in the Senate primary as in 2016,” NBC News reports.

Said political scientist Alan Abramowitz: “The bottom line is that, despite all of the problems at the polls on Tuesday, it appears that there was a big increase in turnout over 2018, especially on the Democratic side,”

Associated Press: Georgia poll worker describes “overwhelming” chaos.

All that cheating Kemp did and all to no avail. The Repukes in GA and indeed all over, must be, to quote Susan Collins, very concerned.

They need to do better than that to make sure every vote counts in November.

lot of poll workers didn’t show up Tuesday. First, who backs out of something that important the day of the election? Second, the county should have been checking every week to make sure people were planning to show up to work.

We have to do better in November. I bet Atlanta makes up almost half of Democratic voters in the state. We need every vote.

need to be evenly matched from each party.

I suppose if any Republican poll workers wanted to mess with the election, those could be the ones to not show up.

to keep quiet about their political preferences when working.

My late wife volunteered as a poll worker for years. The county was just so glad to get people who would volunteer. It’s not easy work. Her last election was Obama 2008, she left before 6am and it was after midnight before they got through there were so many voters.

I’m hoping the counties will be ready in November, and voters help reduce the pressure by voting early and by mail.

The only sure way to beat Republican Vote Rigging is to simply overwhelm them at the Polls on each and every election day.

We have two Senate races, and it seems unlikely that there would be a lot of ticket splitting ... voting for both Perdue and Biden would take even higher cognitive dissonance than usual.
