integration in the University and professional world. Young black men and women are friends and peers and lovers in both the academic and professional world that education rules in this and we win, with our youth. Seeing UT football players speaking out and making demands changing out the racism is inspiring. I am around so many 20 somethings and every educated one of them represent this picture.

1960s weddings were all quite pale in my part of the state. As my grand nieces and nephews are getting married, the wedding party, made up of friends of the bride and groom, are definitely more interesting in their composition. I love it!

Because that way, even if you're wrong you'll be a mile away from them and you'll have their shoes.

Forgive me, I sometimes can't resist bringing a little levity to the table.

I'd even get out my collector's item Kaepernick shoes to do it.

There are some other DU'ers got really snarky and Dem-purity-test holier than thou with me about supporting Kap's message.
I love me some Kaep. And not just for that protest, he's been a steady advocate for many worthy causes.

He gave up millions of dollars to standup for a noble cause. Add in his off the field selflessness to help the disadvantaged via charitable donations even after he lost his NFL paycheck says so much about what kind of person he is. The story about him giving away his own suits to young African-Americans for job interviews will be something that I'll always remember about him.

One of the best things about Kaepernick is how much he is the antithesis of Trump. While his parents didn't struggle him being adopted and then working his way to NFL star QB (if the power doesn't go out at the SB he would have a SB ring) is the complete opposite of Drumpf who was handed everything in life. Kap's ability to make a statement without saying a whole lot is one of Kap's best attributes. He seems to try to let his actions talk for him. Unlike Trump who won't shut his racist pie hole while being the laziest president ever. The P*esident who went golfing while Americans all over the country died an awful death with no loved ones there next to their side.

I'm from AZ so I'm a Cardinals fan but if there is an NFL season this year and I was given the choice between Kap getting signed and leading a team to a title or watching the Cardinals finally win a title after 30 years of fando would without hesitation want it to be Kap and the losing quarterback Drew Brees.

My response to anyone bashing Kap is to point out this is Democratic Underground not f****** Breitbart.

My crystal ball sees a NFL team signing Kaepernick this year as a way of saying Black Quarterbacks Matter
And whatever team signs him, I hope he gets to play the Chiefs in the next Superbowl.

With the pandemic largely swaying attention from racism at first, the price came down for a while. Now these are collector's items and the price for them skyrocketed again. The 081416 on the bottom represents the day he first kneeled during the anthem.
