Bolton to Trump: Game on.

"... His reaction [to the book] thus ranged from the mean-spirited to the constitutionally impermissible. My reaction ... my response? Game on."

Behind the scenes: People close to Trump have been worried about the book because Bolton was known as the most prolific note taker in high-level meetings, Jonathan Swan reports.

Bolton would sit there, filling yellow legal pad after yellow legal pad with notes. In short: Bolton saw a lot, and he wrote it down in real time. And when he left, the White House never got those notes back.

I really hope Bolton is sincere when he says this. Can't wait to see the book!

Brave Sir Bolton ran away
Bravely ran away, away
When danger reared its ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled
Yes, brave Sir Bolton turned about
And gallantly he chickened out
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat
Bravest of the brave, Sir Bolton

If you can send in career professionals and dedicated military officers and have the Repugs work to diminish the truth and value of their testimony under oath, ain't no way they're gonna' believe or accept anything "Yosemite Sam" Bolton is gonna' say.

I think about it as a potential strategic resource for us. All love and hate aside along with the reactive emotions that accomplish nothing much but push/pull, knowing more about our gruesome and egregious opponent can still be helpful for us collectively.

Too much of Trump is a reality TV show facade that he creates and uses to manipulate the masses and condition our population for his dictatorship. In order to cut that off at the pass, gathering "intelligence" is a good idea.

Let's see how much ammo the book might have to offer as we approach a critical time and prepare to save democracy and our country now.

but this could be a massive blow. A deep one.

From the article: "Why it matters: Bolton, who was U.S. ambassador to the U.N. under President George W. Bush, is a lifelong conservative and longtime Fox News contributor who is well-known by the Trump base, the source pointed out."

Bolton is trusted by the conservatives and what he says will sting.

This seems kinda like that.

In Khandahar, some folks would put a scorpion and a camel spider in a big jar to see who gets ate and who eats.

So...

This is perfect.

I want to see GOP insiders turning on each other hope it happens more and more.

This is the most poetic collapse of the GOP possible - The who eats and who's food battles have begun

Also Camel spiders- every time. They are just so much bigger

I was a long haired gringo, the only gringo among the large crowd waiting for the train.
A guy asked me "Tu sabes mota?" we went back into the trees and got high with a dozen cotton pickers.
One picked up a red ant and a black ant and they fought in his palm as we all looked on, stoned and laughing.

depression-era unemployment numbers, police brutalizing protesters in the street, top military leaders calling Trump an authoritarian, all while Trump is crashing and burning on a daily basis to overshadow the release of his long-awaited book. Bolton's revelations seem so trivial right now; the impeachment was a lifetime ago and people have moved on to more pressing matters. Life can be so unfair.

His head must be exploding because they are so much better than anything his people could ever come up with.

If we can just keep him distracted with constant attacks on his weaknesses, he will be permanently on the defense up until the election. We just need to hammer him with offensive ads until he cracks. If it was any other candidate, I would not advise that as a strategy, but this is Trump and attacking him is the only way to expose him.

It'll be a wait since they hold returned books for several days because of covid-19. But there will be plenty of highlights shared here at DU.
Meantime there might be an eBook, audio-book or jumbo text version available from the library soon.

I wasn't going to be bothered. But I caved since the library is an option. We still pay for the books they carry but it's a small fraction of full price.

Before June 23rd, Trump will claim they've reclassified some material in Bolton's book to stop it's release.Bolton will complain but Trump will play the pandemic, economy and BLM protests as occupying his time.

I wouldn't get too excited - particularly since it's coming from Bolton.
I'll believe it when I see it.
