met a fellow jamaican today.
he is a dear friend of a dear friend, and a baker at a jamaican bakery.
she owns a crazy little antique shop, and she used to have a pelt from one of my roosters there on consignment. this guy was that boy's biggest fan.

he wants me to hook him up w a mean rooster to take home to his place on the island. i dont have any mean boys, but i know who does.

but he figured out after i left that i had taken it back. sorta needed a little extra juju, so i took him home and hung him in my window.

now i know he will visit. he got my number and called to say he had to have it.

now i just have to figure out what to charge him. just enough that it doesnt feel like a gift.

that he dashed to get me some food from the bakery as i was about to starve, then went back when i asked him for stale bread for my chickens, and brought me 2 fresh loaves is enough.
but if you are too nice to people, they can end up hating you.
i think a few hours pay is about right. i have a bunch of them anyway.
