Here's the fallacy that's unspoken, re COVID-19:

The fallacy is that when businesses re-open, e.g., outdoor dining at restaurants, the virus no longer exists.

The all-clear siren has been given. Nothing bad will happen to you now.

Yeah, there are platitudes of "wear your mask" and six-feet distancing, but the implicit message is that it was all a bad three-month dream. We're OK now.

1. The words being spoken are different from the message being received.

Yes, it's very frustrating.

The words are like, "phased re-opening" and "keep social distancing" but the message being heard is "All clear, folks!!"

but let us say after the Trump Rally in Jax, Fl, there is an EPIC bloom of Covid, I mean the sort that conventions can easily nurture. Bodies pile up, refrigeration trucks converted to Morgues, I mean EPIC. Do you think that will stop them?, No, they will interpret the deatsh of their loved ones as a side that God has a special plan, and the deaths of others as a sign God hates them.

3. Seeing now so many states covid cases skyrocket upward

And trump is saying nothing about this is a lose /lose situation for him after he prodded them to reopen prematurely, and shows he's failed again causing more to die and be infected with this deadly virus , and he's holding rally's spreading it more. trump will lose more votes doing this, and many of his supporters will not risk there lives for him. He'll have to pay people to fill the seats again. trump's reopening is failing ,and failing badly. Promoting not to wear a mask will make it worse , and do more to hurt us not help us, and trump promotes not wearing one.

5. No thinking person

needs to be told what to do. Everyone should follow common sense and their own needs. You can't force anyone's behavior. Too frustrating to try and monitor others. Be safe folks.
