I was looking through the Sunday papers and noticed that Romney hasn't released his Tax returns.

1. He filed for an extension, which allows him 6 additional months, October 15th.

A tricky move on his part, so technically he will have given 2 years of tax returns, 2011 being given at the last moment.
The silver lining is, this means his tax returns will once again be the main topic of conversation 3 weeks prior to the election and on everyone's minds when they go to the polls.

2. There's no reason he can't release prior years like he's supposed to according to custom.

Ten prior years is the usual.
