So Did The West Point Cadets Give Trump The Silent Treatment?....

Didn't seem like much of a response to his speech. Very little applause. He almost sounded like a stand-up comic that gets no laughs. I don't think he got the reaction or the photo op that he wanted from this stunt. I think he'll be pissed.

It's the rules there. Presidents have been known to make unpopular policy speeches there to avoid poor receptions.

I have no children but keep in touch with a very large group of extended family. We've got 9 soldiers deployed outside the US and 6 full time military inside the US and 4 who are either in reserve or National Guard.

Without exception, all of them report a general lack of respect for DJT and his admin. Military leaders who support DJT are generally not well received either. Now understand, this statement only speaks to my understanding of the people my family interacts with. I would never presume to widen it to the military rank and file as a whole.

US army - not one person applauded - I was delighted
