Who did battle with Jim Robinson and all the Freepers during the Clinton years?

Those were the early days.....

7. Is that site still around? I remember a few years ago it was pretty common to see "freepers"

getting regularly bashed at DU. But this is the first time I have heard about that site in a long time.

9. It's a very small group of Kool-Aid drinkers who try to top each other

making snarky remarks and reinforcing each others' prejudices while following marching orders from their leaders. It's funny when a new story comes out and they're not sure what their reaction should be. Once it's established, they all fall into line and parrot the party line.

13. There was a poster here who was a freeper.

He became a moderator or whatever we called them back then. At that point he admitted to being a freeper. I can't remember his screen name. Does anyone else remember him?

I was fairly new here at the time. I do remember thinking that a lot of his posts did not reflect the spirit of this place.

He unveiled himself on election night 2004. Never a moderator though.

There was someone else who pretended to be two people, and they both served as mods before getting caught. I don't think they were freepers though, but not sure.

The other guy was Indytony on some other site, and he was outed here. He had me fooled.
