Keisha Lance Bottoms

I really like her and thought she would make an excellent VP choice...A young black woman who could excite the base and possibly flip Georgia ...Do you think this incident takes her out of the running where the Biden team may want to avoid controversy?

This shooting is much more controversial than George Lloyd's murder. No clear picture yet of what happened. Her place on the ticket would be devisive. The dUmpsters would use this incident in the worst way. And another factor is her lack of any real national experience in government. She's a good mayor, but not The One. Perhaps someday?

the Election Process is compromised by the GOP having control of the levels of decision making. When your Governor and Sectary of State are controlling those levers for their own Agenda, nothing good can happen.

Once again, every vote counts, yes, but who is counting the votes? It takes at least two election cycles to clean out the bad actors. Maybe the Citizens will finally make a difference this time around.

difficult situations. She fired the police who did the shooting, which was the right thing to do. She is being battle tested and has stood with Biden from day one and I'm sure that he will do the same.

Biden says he's looking for someone who's ready on day one and that doesn't sound like a mayor who's only three years into her first term, and that long since being a council person.

A lot of people wrote Stacey Abrams off because she only was a legislator and had zero state-wide experience. To me, Bottoms is no different.

Yes, Atlanta is a large city, and her profile has grown, but she isn't experienced, having only been mayor since 2017. I think there are stronger choices with statewide or congressional experience.

I don't think this takes her out of the running but her experience certainly will be amplified by it.
