England: "... and the police are helpful rather than intimidating."

I just finished watching a 36-part "The Great Courses" series that's titled, "The Great Tours: England, Scotland and Wales."

The lecturer, Dr. Patrick Allitt, was born in England, but he later moved to the USA to work as a history professor.

The series offers many pointers about traveling to Britain.

The comment about the differences in police appeared during the 36th episode titled, "How to Think about Visiting Britain."
