How about renaming bases for Medal of Honor recipients that were medics. In the fight to save lives.

Medal of Honor recipients that were medics "Doc" to their comrades. Who purpose in being in the battle was to save lives.

The list is long. A quick Google search indicates there is 52 Medal of Honor recipients that were medics men and women across all branches and conflicts.

Maybe Trump should rethink his decision to not change base names.

Here is my first suggestion for him. He awarded the MOH to this Vietnam Army medic.

Good idea. Although in *any* group there are dingbats. UTUSN Jun 2020 #2
Agreed but w/ 52 to choose from and the right selection committee in 2021 we could honor MOH medics. usaf-vet Jun 2020 #3

During Coup 2000 I was devastated to see, during the post-election/court period, a string of MOH holders wearing their honorific military insignia/caps/decorations - standing on Shrub's stage politically supporting Shrub, doing the unthinkable of mixing their military service with politics. I called the MOH association to complain about the cheapening the medals with politics, and the response was literally, "Meh."

And we see plenty of medical doctors who are wingnuts who stuff themselves into the Congress. It all comes down to who is doing the selecting, as STALIN said "Counting the votes" is what counts, and as Bill BARR said, "The victor writes the history."

Plus, as SHITLER has demonstrated, somebody like him can come along and undo everything that was done for seventy years.

Nothing says it has to be a living recipient which would eliminate the cult followers. The victor writes the history.

Military Chaplains who have been award Medal of Honor would also fit the bill and maybe appease religious groups.

But the right selection committee would be the best factor. But the win-win would be to change the names.
