Newton, Mass, is a middle/upper middle class city next door to Boston. This is so sobering just in its banality. What would the police have done if they had spotted a suspect known to be "tall and white?"
Sorry, I don't do YouTube or Instagram. Hoping some of you will post there.

(53,342 posts)In college, Duncan played for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, and in his senior year, he earned the John Wooden Award as well as Naismith College Player of the Year and USBWA College Player of the Year.
After graduating from college, Duncan went on to win NBA Rookie of the Year after being selected by San Antonio with the first overall pick in the 1997 NBA draft. Widely regarded as the greatest power forward of all time while also playing at center for the majority of his career, he is considered one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history.[2] He is a five-time NBA champion, a two-time NBA MVP, a three-time NBA Finals MVP, a 15-time NBA All-Star,[3] and the only player to be selected to both the All-NBA and All-Defensive Teams for 13 consecutive seasons.[4]
Off the court, Duncan created the Tim Duncan Foundation to raise health awareness and to fund education and youth sports programs.

(64,865 posts)I think it was 2002 (his first MVP) he was very close to winning Defensive Player Of The Year.
Had he done that, he would have joined Michael Jordan, who's the only one ever to do it. Tim came REALLY close to that achievement.
To be fair, there was no DPOY when Wilt was winning MVP.
But, it's amazing to be that close to being that exceptional on both sides for a whole season.

(53,410 posts)And by that I mean we all have to care about systemic racism and racial profiling. If we see such a thing we must speak out, because we most certainly are our brothers keepers. Our society will NOT become better if we do nothing.
