STOP, please ... stop this cop criminality

Kneeled On By Chicago Police Officers Outside Northwest Side Mall: ‘I Was Scared For My Life’

WARNING: This story contains violent video. Police said the women were attempting to "disturb the peace," but the cousins say they were simply trying to go to the store.

BELMONT CRAGIN — A Black woman running errands in Belmont Cragin on Sunday was pulled from a car and brutalized by Chicago police in an encounter captured on video.

Mia Wright, Tnika Tate and three others were headed to the Brickyard Mall, 2600 N. Narragansett Ave., Sunday afternoon to pick up some supplies for a small birthday celebration, Tate said, only to discover the mall was closed due to looting the night before. According to Ald. Gilbert Villegas (36th), the mall was shuttered as neighbors worked to repair the damage.

Tate, 39, turned around to leave the mall when she saw a group of Chicago police officers and pulled over to get out of their way, she said.

And now police are getting fired almost on the spot, unlike before. Even if they're not convicted of crimes, don't they want to keep their jobs?

people shooting back.

The entire of policing comes from people obeying orders from police. If police are turning on innocent people to harm them, obeying their orders go out the window once a critical point is reached, and instead of being protected by the rule of law, police become just one group of fighters that has taken sides, thereby losing the protections that their badges now give them.

Amazing, all this press over police brutality and the protests and it looks like police are getting worse.

I'll tell you why.

POLICE BRUTALITY I SNOT JUST A RACIAL [PROBLEM!!!!

Race is a big part of it but not all of it.

Other sociological and psychological problems permeate this issue.

They're properly trained, but you can't train racism of cops and you can't train cops who have the propensity to abuse people to stop doing it. That's why many of these guys became cops.

We have to eliminate this culture from policing - starting with changing hiring and screening practices. For example, requiring a nationwide database that keeps track of police brutality incidents and discipline so that a cop who's disciplined or fired for brutality can't just go to another town or state and get a job with no questions asked. And punish cops who look the other way and reward those who try to keep their fellow officers honest, including eliminating the culture of the "thin blue line."

Actually, I don't believe that. I just thought I'd get the jump on the people who run from thread to thread saying this whenever we talk about police brutality.
