‘We’re Thinking Landslide’
June 15, 2020 at 6:24 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

“By most conventional indicators, Donald Trump is in danger of becoming a one-term president. The economy is a wreck, the coronavirus persists, and his poll numbers have deteriorated,” Politico reports.

“But throughout the Republican Party’s vast organization in the states, the operational approach to Trump’s re-election campaign is hardening around a fundamentally different view. Interviews with more than 50 state, district and county Republican Party chairs depict a version of the electoral landscape that is no worse for Trump than six months ago — and possibly even slightly better. According to this view, the coronavirus is on its way out and the economy is coming back. Polls are unreliable, Joe Biden is too frail to last, and the media still doesn’t get it.”

Said Phillip Stephens, GOP chairman in Robeson County, N.C.: “The more bad things happen in the country, it just solidifies support for Trump. We’re calling him ‘Teflon Trump.’ Nothing’s going to stick, because if anything, it’s getting more exciting than it was in 2016. We’re thinking landslide.”

wiped out despite the fraud that will go on and rump tries to steal the election. Democratic leaders will have tens of thousands of lawyers waiting on the sidelines to ensure that vote counts are fairly counted and all votes are counted. In short, that there are no foul ups during the counting of the votes.

as nothing spoils "victory" more than over confidence, remember 2018 with all the same talk that democrats had no chance to win the House back mantra

Don't give them a clue that anything is changing on the ground. This level of mental rigidity is a blessing to us.

2. Late Oct. he announces a vaccine for COVID-19. Whether it works or not is irrelevant.
3. Rep. controlled states will start under reporting COVID numbers to show Rep not Dem know what they are doing.
4. N. Korea will announce a deal with Trump (there really won't be one).

11. Is there an example historically where a President who falls out of favor

with the American people has a sudden reversal in popularity and goes on to win re-election? tRump has never been wildly popular with most Americans. His approval ratings have never been a good with the majority of the citizens. Now with so much falling apart around us and not seeming to get much better, their strategy seems to be happy talk. Just pretend all is well and that things are looking up. Once our minds have changed in such large numbers, can we be manipulated to vote for Such a horrid man? (I’m using we as a collective we. I know the folks at DU aren’t going to vote for tRump under any circumstances.) I was just wondering if there is any way he can turn enough voters around in their opinion of him so they’d be willing to give him a second term and has been demonstrated historically.
