Interesting. I had to ditch the blackberry because when I tried to use the little keyboard, holding my hands in that precise position caused my right arm to shake uncontrollably. No idea why but maybe something similar?

I also am frightened of stairs. I cannot walk down unless I can see my feet, and even then I'm paranoid. Basically I don't trust myself to not miss a step. I've mistaken the last step and fallen at the bottom and once, in socks, wanted to descend wood stairs but instead slipped on top step and rode down on my ass. Luckily, large enough ass to manage the descent, but well bruised afterwards, so again, I understand his hesitancy in walking down stairs but that was a handicapped ramp. Not slippery and not steep.

He's unwell, that much is obvious
