The Atlanta shooting; Do cops watch the news?

There has been a world wide protest going on about cops shooting, killing unarmed black men. You would think all cops would have noticed. You would think at this time, no cop would pull out his gun unless his life was in serious jeopardy. That was not the case in Atlanta. Fucking stupid.

Aren't they aware of what's going on in this country? Don't they know that something they might have gotten away with ten--hell, five or even one--years ago is going to be national news, and that there will be multiple videos of their actions? You'd think cops would be going out of their way to be gentle and non-confrontational, especially if they want their police force to avoid being limited in its powers or lose equipment or reduced in size.
