2. The NFLPA will be under heavy pressure from NFL owners to play the regular schedule this Fall.

However, the players' union would be negligent if they allowed their members to be exposed to infection, or worse. How will they play football at safe distances, without masks? Will they test every player before each game? This could get complicated.

In theory, fall sports could go forward if we actually got our act together - which is why sports are back in places like a South Korea - but it's pretty clear that nothing is going to improve under this Administration.

6. At best, the games will have to played without fans present. But that still endangers the players

and everyone else on the field and sidelines. There's so much money involved the owners will insist on playing the games, but the union can and should protect the players.
