Yeah it just helps OTHER people, so what's the point? Conservatism in a nutshell.

Rep. Tom Rice said in an interview that he has no regrets about not wearing a mask on the House floor.

“My understanding is that a mask doesn’t really protect you as much as it protects other people. I don’t think it would have made much of a difference."

One of them actually asserted to me: there is no such thing as society.

That doesn't stop them from wanting to impose their rules on others though. Funny that.

"They are casting their problems at society. And, you know, there's no such thing as society. There are individual men and women and there are families. And no government can do anything except through people, and people must look after themselves first. It is our duty to look after ourselves and then, also, to look after our neighbours."

Republicans are trying to amass as much money and power as possible before society breaks down from global warming (which they secretly believe in but don't want others to believe in) and civil unrest. They think they can "ride it out" while the rest of the world destroys itself.

Ok, if I wear a mask, it helps to protect others, me not so much. But if you wear a mask, it protects me, you not so much. This means that if I don't wear a mask, I get the pleasure of making other people sick. And if everybody else followed my lead, then everybody stands the chance of getting sick! The problem with this has to do with one word: LEADERSHIP!! THERE ISN'T ANY, WE'RE BEING LED BY A BUNCH OF IDIOTS WHO ENJOY PANDERING TO FOXNEWS AND CONSERVATIVE TALK RADIO!!

Did you read the article about the Michigan republicans tearing up their mail in ballots in support of trump? I guess they'd rather stand in long lines and wait to cast their stupid vote as opposed to a mail in.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

If there is one quality that all conservatives possess, it is complete and total lack of empathy. They cannot put themselves in someone else's shoes for one fucking second. It drives me up the wall.

Every conservative that I know, at one point or another, has espoused the same view as Mr. Rice. They DO care about their own families, but that's generally where it ends.

Didn't Jesus say something about loving your neighbors?!?!?

He said "NOBODY CARES OR GRIEVES ABOUT ANYONE THEY DON'T KNOW!"

Again, conservatism in a nutshell. They don't even believe that anyone is empathetic for others, just because they aren't. And these are "Christians"! The things they say are the exact opposite of the message of their supposed Lord and Savior.

How can this be anything but mental illness?
