Dump admin filed lawsuit against Bolton alleging breach of contract (book has already shipped)

Kaitlan Collins ✔ @kaitlancollins (CNN)

The Trump administration has filed a lawsuit against John Bolton, alleging breach of contract, according to a federal court docket. His book, scheduled to be released Tuesday, has already shipped to warehouses and he's already taped an interview with ABC News.

ETA: From filing: "Because prepublication review process is ongoing, the U.S. also seeks an order directing Defendant to specifically perform his contractual obligations by taking all actions within his power to stop the publication & dissemination of his book as currently drafted."

Reading through the Bolton lawsuit. It says “on or around April 27,” Ellen Knight, the official reviewing Bolton’s book, had completed her review and was of the judgment that the manuscript draft "did not contain classified information." She informed NSC legal, but then on May 2, Michael Ellis, the NSC senior director for intel, started another review “at the request” of Robert O’Brien, Trump's current national security adviser, who was, per lawsuit, “concerned that the manuscript still appeared to contain classified information.”

Breach of contract. Right.

Good luck getting specific performance- hiding information- out of a breach of contract for a government job. That's absurd.

If it's all lies how could you then argue the lies were classified? Or, they could just be morons.

Then there is no way they are putting the genie back in the bottle. It only takes one person to either access the files used for proofing or printing or to actually scan one of the books. From there the Internet is forever.

Best case scenario - It ends up on the Torrent sites before Bolton gets a dime.

Martha Raddatz ✔ @MarthaRaddatz (ABC)

He’s the man the president doesn’t want you to hear. I just sat down with John Bolton, Pres. Trump’s former trusted adviser, for an exclusive one-on-one interview—with no question off limits. Watch the special event Sunday at 9/8c on ABC.
