The police abuse of force issue reminds me of the priest child abuse issue.

Both have gone on for decades. In both cases, the institutions protected the offenders by allowing them to relocate to a new job without their history following. Cops kill, priests abuse - and it took massive numbers of victims coming forward for anything to be done about it.

They are both abusers of power.

Bad cops getting jobs in other cities to continue bad behavior.

I noticed that pattern as well.

Psych unit staff,psych residential staff.
They can be abusive as hell,so can therapists and psychiatrists.staff at day programs. I ran into shitloads of narcissists in my time in the mental health system. They get away with it when they can claim the victim was psychotic or had an " outburst" they never admit they provoke the outbursts.
